In this teaching from Joshua 1, we examine the powerful transition from Moses to Joshua and the beginning of a new season for the people of Israel. As they stand on the threshold of the Promised Land, God calls Joshua to lead with strength, courage, and unwavering devotion to His Word. This chapter reveals foundational principles about leadership, obedience, covenant identity, and trusting God’s presence in times of uncertainty.

We explore what it means to meditate on the Torah “day and night,” how God’s promise to be with Joshua shapes the mission ahead, and why courage is repeatedly commanded rather than merely encouraged. This message also considers the spiritual significance of transition, the importance of faithful preparation before movement, and the enduring relevance of God’s promises for believers today.

In this teaching from Joshua 3, we explore one of the most pivotal moments in Israel’s history — the crossing of the Jordan River and the transition into the promises of God. This passage reveals powerful themes about divine leadership, covenant faithfulness, and the necessity of following God’s presence rather than human strategy. Why did the Ark go before the people? Why were they commanded to keep their distance? And what does the Jordan represent as a prophetic threshold for God’s people?

We also examine the deeper symbolism of the waters “standing in one heap,” the priestly role in stepping into uncertainty, and how this event connects to New Testament themes of faith, obedience, and spiritual transition. This message challenges listeners to consider what it means to move forward when God calls — even before the path is fully visible.
